Privacy
Your conversations are yours.
This policy explains what MicNoter collects, why we use it, and the choices you have over your recordings, notes, and account.
MicNoter is operated by Epogia, LLC.
Effective July 14, 2026
Information we collect
We collect account details such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and preferences. When you use the service, we process the recordings, files, links, transcripts, summaries, messages, and other content you choose to provide.
We also receive limited technical and usage information, including device type, app version, IP address, diagnostics, and interactions needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. Payment providers send us transaction and subscription status, not full payment-card details.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate your account; upload and store content; generate transcripts, summaries, action items, and answers; provide search and sharing; process subscriptions; prevent abuse; troubleshoot problems; and communicate about the service.
MicNoter does not sell your personal information. We do not use private note content for advertising.
AI processing and service providers
To provide transcription and AI features, relevant content may be sent to contracted infrastructure, storage, transcription, language-model, analytics, email, billing, and error-monitoring providers. They process information on our instructions and only for the services they provide to us.
AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify important decisions, quotations, and action items against the original source.
Current provider categories include Google and Firebase for authentication, cloud infrastructure, storage, and notifications; fal.ai and its configured model providers for transcription and AI generation; RevenueCat, Apple, Google Play, and Stripe for billing and entitlement status; Resend for transactional email; Sentry for diagnostics; and PostHog for optional product analytics.
Analytics and diagnostics
Product analytics is off unless you enable it in Account and privacy settings. When enabled, MicNoter sends limited usage events to PostHog. We do not intentionally include recording audio, transcripts, note text, filenames, or email addresses in product analytics events.
Sentry may receive app version, device and operating-system details, error traces, and related technical context needed to diagnose failures. We limit diagnostic data and do not intentionally attach private note or recording content.
Sharing and disclosure
We disclose information when you intentionally share or export a note, when a service provider needs it to perform work for us, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users and the service. We may disclose information as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Storage, security, and retention
We use access controls, encrypted transport, ownership checks, and other administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain account and note data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual content or request account deletion. Limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, billing, or dispute resolution.
Your choices and rights
You can review and update account details, control permissions, manage shared content, and request access, correction, export, or deletion where applicable. See our data deletion guide for account-deletion steps.
Children and international use
MicNoter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you use the service from another country, information may be processed where we or our providers operate, with safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
